During winter, 152 kilometers of snow-sure slopes in the surrounding ski areas invite you to explore. Our country inn is just a 5-minute walk from the ski bus stop. (The ski bus is free for our guests!)
Perfectly groomed slopes and fun parks make the hearts of skiers and snowboarders race. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can also enjoy countless opportunities to explore the Zugspitz Arena actively with its extensive 100 km network of partially snow-covered trails. The free trail access point is only a few minutes away from our house. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace, well-cleared winter hiking trails wind through the snowy landscape, followed by warming up with a cup of mulled wine or hot chocolate at Mair's Country Inn.
As guests of our establishment, you have free access to the Ehrwald Family Pool and the Ehrwald Ice Rink!
In the Ehrwalder Alm ski area, a new six-seater chairlift with seat heating and weather protection has shortened the journey to the Issentalkopf. This further optimizes the infrastructure of the ski resorts in the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena. Just last year, a new ten-person cable car was opened in Lermoos. Additionally, a new après-ski hut, Brent-Alm, has been established at the valley station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn, enhancing the culinary offerings in Ehrwald, which have already been significantly expanded by the Tirolerhaus at the mountain station of the Ehrwalder Almbahn.
Toll-free access to skiing fun: 214 kilometers of slopes and 89 cable cars and lifts are spread across seven diverse ski areas – from glacier skiing on the Zugspitzplatt to the sunny slopes on the Ehrwalder Alm, at the Wettersteinbahnen, in Biberwier, Berwang, or Lermoos, every skier, from race carvers to recreational skiers, and from little slope enthusiasts to beginners, will find their dream area.
Clear the slopes! Not for skiers, but for tobogganers. Instead of narrow forest roads, winter sports enthusiasts can safely take off on the wide slopes of the Ehrwalder Alm twice a week with minibobs, wooden toboggans, ski-bobs, or racing sleds, enjoying a night of tobogganing fun in the shadow of the Zugspitze.
With 100 kilometers of trails, the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena offers top-notch cross-country skiing opportunities. A highlight is the circular trail in Moos, where golfers refine their swings in summer, and athletes glide around the 9-hole golf course on the 2.5-kilometer snow-covered golf circuit in the valley basin of Ehrwald-Lermoos-Biberwier.
With a heart for families: The small and varied ski areas of the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena offer primarily blue and red slopes, plenty of practice areas for beginners, and special children's ski courses, catering to all needs. Family-friendly accommodations for every budget, with attractive package deals and a program tailored for families, make the most beautiful time of the year unforgettable for everyone. The best part: In the Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena, guests can also get around without a car thanks to the Schneeexpress.
