Excursion tips: Bavarian royal castles (Neuschwanstein is about a 40-minute drive), the Ehrenberg ruins with an adventure museum (approximately a 20-minute drive), the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck, and the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens (about an hour away).
Depending on fitness and skill level, bikers can choose from over 100 marked routes, totaling 4,330 kilometers and more than 100,000 meters of elevation gain. Leisure cyclists can enjoy the scenic ride to Lake Heiterwang at the foot of the striking peaks, while extreme bikers can find new athletic challenges on the freeride track at Grubigstein in Lermoos, featuring jumps and obstacles. Additionally, a recognized MTB guiding school and various rental and service stations are available. Since 2012, the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena has also been a movelo region: ten rental stations offer e-bikes, and seven charging stations ensure fully powered batteries. With the sporty all-rounder, the Flyer S-series, even steep mountain tours to the region's most beautiful alpine pastures can be easily managed.
In summer, the towns of the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena offer free guided hikes for guests with a guest card. The hiking program is diverse and varied. Our hiking guides will accompany you through our beautiful alpine world, sharing interesting insights about the region, flora, and fauna.

Registration and timesAlpine sport climbers and mountaineers will find a wide array of rock formations, climbing gardens, and via ferratas of all grades in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. Thanks to its southern exposure, many trails and routes can be climbed even in the early morning hours.

The Z-Ticket is valid from May 21 to November 5, 2022. The ticket can be purchased for a minimum of 3 days.

Guided hikes, via ferratas, and pure adventure. That’s what Bergsport Total in Ehrwald, right at the church square, offers. Special hiking programs are available for children. A unique highlight for adults and children aged 8 and above is the "Waterfall Adventure" tour, a medium-difficulty via ferrata featuring active and passive rappelling, crossing obstacles, rope bridges, and gorges. Of course, skill exercises and the Flying Fox are also included. You can find the current weekly program on the website.
Golfers can improve their handicap in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, where the 9-hole course of the Tiroler Zugspitz Golf between Ehrwald and Lermoos offers excellent conditions. Set against the impressive backdrop of the Wetterstein massif, amidst an idyllic moor landscape, the generously designed fairways make precise putts and long drives on the illuminated and heated driving range all the more enjoyable. For beginners, there is a golf taster lesson with Head Pro Daniel Ortner. Equipment (clubs & range balls) is also available for an additional fee from the golf club.
